Directions

Primary three turned their hands to Beebot programming today-they designed and built their mazes and then directed the Beebots through the route by entering the commands for the little bee. They also tried following directions using the compass points and giving directions using compass points!

One activity allowed children to consolidate their understanding of rounding to the nearest 10.

The lengths they go to!

Primary 3 pupils have been learning about length: estimating and measuring lengths using metres and centimetres and the children have had a huge variety of measuring devices to try: metres sticks, tape measures and rulers. They have been outside measuring in the playground and inside measuring classroom furniture and using tape measures to measure their partner!
Building a metre high tower of Lego-a remarkable feat of engineering which required a LOT of perserverance!

They children were excited to show me what they had been learning about static electricity with Miss Beatty.

Hair raising science!
